India’s car and scooter sales continue to slide despite heavy discount from manufactures to clear the inventory. Top car maker Maruti posted 24.81% dip in sales on yearly basis. Hyundai Motors reported 14.81% dip and Mahindra reported 33.06% drop in its Sep 2019 sales.

Overall weak economic condition in India reflected in two wheeler sales also despite discounts offered by manufacturers. Hero sales down 20%, Bajaj auto at -30% and TVS at -32%. Only Suzuki managed a decent performance in Sep 2019.
