Apara Mehta is an Indian film and television actress who has worked in various Hindi and Gujarati language TV shows and movies. She was born on 13 August 1960 in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India.

Apara started her acting career with a Gujarati play called Tan Man Dhan in 1981. In 1996, she acted with Paresh Rawal in a play called Maharathi. She became popular with the 1997 serial Sapna Na Vaavetar (Gujarati) and Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka (Hindi).
In 2000, she was approached by Ekta Kapoors Balaji Telefilms and was offered a role in the serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi on Star Plus which made her famous. She has acted in over 150 plays in various roles.
